Physicians & Staff

Consists of four physicians, one nurse practitioner and over 25 dedicated staff. Our clinic provides infusion services, radiology, and full-fledged laboratory services.

Naga Bushan, M.D.

Dr. Bushan received his M.D. degree from Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Huron Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Bushan did his fellowship in Rheumatology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Bushan is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology (American Board of Internal Medicine).

Dr. Bushan has been practicing Rheumatology in Lubbock since 1990. He participates in clinical research, which enables his patients to access the latest drugs in the field of Rheumatology.

Dr. Bushan is a member of various medical societies including the American Medical Association and the American College of Rheumatology. He is the President of the Lubbock Crosby Garza Medical Society. He is a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.

Michael Calmes, M.D., M.B.A.

Dr. Calmes received his M.D. degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Calmes did his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Rheumatology at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. He also obtained his MBA in health management at Texas Tech.

Dr. Calmes is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology (American Board of Internal Medicine). He participates in clinical research, which enables his patients to access the latest drugs in the field of Rheumatology.

He is a member of various medical societies including the Texas Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Rheumatology.

Jose Del Giudice, M.D.

Dr. Del Giudice received his M.D. degree from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Salvador B. Gautier Hospital in Santo Domingo. He did his fellowship in Rheumatology at the El Instituto Nacional de la Nutricion Hospital of the University of Mexico in Mexico City. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in Bronx, New York. He finished a second fellowship in Rheumatology at the West Chester County Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Del Giudice was board certified in Rheumatology in Mexico (Mexican Board of Rheumatology) in 1980. He is currently board certified in Rheumatology (American Board of Internal Medicine).

He was a professor in Rheumatology in several universities in the Dominican Republic. He served as a post graduate attending physician of Internal Medicine in the Dominican Republic.

He is a member of various medical societies including the Texas Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Del Giudice speaks both English and Spanish. He practices pediatric and adult Rheumatology.

Theerapol Prasertsuntarasai, M.D.

Theerapol Prasertsuntarasai,M.D. (Dr. P) is board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He is also board-certified in Allergy and Immunology through the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, we well as a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Dr. Prasertsuntarasai became very fascinated in the field of Rheumatology during his internal medicine residency training at the University of Hawaii. After completion of his internal medicine residency, he went on to complete his rheumatology fellowship at the University of Oklahoma where his research focused on inflammatory muscle diseases such as polymyositis and dermatomyositis. His special areas of interest include management of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout, pseudogout, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, polymyalgia rheumatica, vasculitis, sarcoidosis, interstitial lung disease, and systemic sclerosis. With deep fascination in Immunology, he also went on to complete another fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the prestigious National Jewish Health/University of Colorado in Denver. With this degree, it helps him understand more about the autoimmune diseases as well as certain allergic diseases which may overlap with rheumatologic diseases.

He is also experienced in performing joint injections and aspiration for osteoarthritis and inflamed joints, etc. He loves traveling, swimming, cooking, and many outdoor activities such as hiking and bicycling. He is very passionate about healthy lifestyle and enjoys integrating these values into his medical practice.

Dr. Prasertsuntarasai joined Arthritis and Osteoporosis Associates in Lubbock in September 2017. He is truly happy to call Texas his new home.

Autumn Beasley, FNP

Autumn received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Texas A&M University followed by Masters in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the international Honor Society in nursing.  She received her Nurse Practitioner Certification through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She joined Arthritis & Osteoporosis in 2015 and serves as Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Bushan and Dr. Calmes.
